maybe if my motivation doesn't agree with shaded comms, I could do lineart / sketch comms for a cheaper price? and that way I could give a png version so that the buyer could color it in themselves if they were so inclined
the problem is that lineart is very much not my strong suit, but maybe I could learn via doing it
and pricing is another issue, since I don't want to undersell my effort but I am also very much not too sure how much my work is worth
I have also struggled with pricing my stuff; I settled on 'i deserve a fair hourly wage' and charge based on how many hours I think it'll take me. Then I add a bit on top of it asks for something tricky. So if I think I could do it in two hours, I might ask for 2 x 20 + 10 more bucks because they want me to do more than one set of revisions to my sketch or whatever
for what it's worth by the way I think your line art is pretty good, and if you do even more it only going to get better
that makes enough sense, I'm not planning on doing it for a job but it's definitely good advice.
