they're doing the "comic-book-style cutscenes" trick that every mid/low budget game was trying on the 360, but they're getting extremely silly with it
the transition from fully-animated cutscene to comic-book panels is the protagonist getting hit in the face with a literal comic book, and then the first frame of said comic is him getting hit in the face
also the drill sergeant threatening him from outside the page lol
also the attract mode video is an anime OP and they got fuckin MAY'N to sing it??? As in like, the singer from Macross Frontier (she's done a bunch of other anime stuff so it's not THAT wild but holy shit I was not expecting to hear Sheryl Nome out of nowhere lmao)
