i really like Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous but it's very hard to recommend it to people when the average ability description looks like this

because, for better and for worse, the rules of the game are copied word for word from the actual TTRPG game lmao
really fun if you're willing to invest the time into learning it but holy shit sometimes i click on an ability and am faced with an entire short story and have to take a break
I love the redundant bit where in the middle of the huge block of text it repeats how it's a standard action (but now also clarifies that it can be a swift action! which the casting time up top doesn't specify!)
it's painful seeing how they could simplify this but just chose not to lmao

that's really the main issue with this game
it's fantastic in so many ways but the fact that it's so fucking desperate to be a literal translation of the TTRPG to the point of having complete excerpts from the rulebook in its ability descriptions keeps me from recommending it to anyone other than somewhat experienced CRPG players
