ok so I've literally never done anything even remotely close to a tutorial, and I'm a big knotted up bundle of bad art habits BUT there are a few tricks that kind of push me through when it comes to drawing hands:
- sketch the shit out of them, just sketch them way more than I think I need to. But sometimes a big ol' circle with some lines coming off them are all I need
- curled up fingers go towards the wrist. If it helps, draw a guiding line from each knuckle to the wrist.
- I like to draw little fingerless glove holes on the knuckles. I don't know why it helps but it does. It just makes my brain happy and I can see the hand better in my brain.
