I get why people think this place is dead or desolate. There's less immediate feedback and to get ConTeNT on your feed you have to actively set yourself up with bookmarked tags and following people. There's less discoverability here unless you really make use of tags but honestly this place feels at least as active as BlueSky and while a few more features would make it better here for artists (not a complaint--I know stuff is in the pipeline and that cohost has a small staff), it feels much more welcoming here than there. People seem almost afraid to repost art on BlueSky. Cohost's users seem to feel way freer to just hit repost without even thinking about it a la Twitter or old Tumblr. It requires more active interaction to get things going here but there is a ton of life I promise.

I literally JUST got set up and need to spend a little time finding people. I think one issue for me is that most of my twitter circle isn't here and so I am at a loss about where to look for people!!
Ppl need to reconnect with their tumblr era self and interact more, too. On twitter you could just lurk and retweet and the other person would feel the feedback, but here you gotta be more intentional about it, i feel.
