mine is that magic systems that try and be all realistic and grounded instead of just letting you cast fireballs and stuff suck
- amnesia is a perfectly acceptable plot device. It's an OK way to create intrigue and fantasy has a million different ways it could've happened that can be really fucked up and cool. If the story sucks with it, then the writing probably wasn't good enough to be good without it either.
