in a quest to improve my computer while i don't have to worry as much about Rent and Stuff, i have accidentally stumbled into the world of keyboards. i'm enjoying it (although i certainly can't afford it as a hobby jgfkldjsgl) but i need to find two things:
-
something to offset the slight sag in my desk, because at the moment it sits slightly uneven and waggles around a bit. it's small enough that a sewing needle fixes it, but i scooch my keyboard around a lot when i'm working on different things. would ideally like a solution that doesn't require me to buy a new desk (cannot afford)
-
this is more for aesthetic purposes, but i definitely wanna look into stuff like stabilizers and films and pads (and MAYBE lube, although i've heard lube can make tactile switches act less tactile and can even ruin them a bit, and also the cost of a switch opener plus lube plus brushes plus the time plus this plus that...). i'm not opposed to the sound i have now, but i want something that might be a tiiiny bit more 'thocky', but only a little x3
i should really look into improving the hardware of my computer first though, but then there's so much compatibility stuff and having to pull stuff and replace it and just houuuughhhh i don't really know what i can and can't swap out without basically having to start from a fresh install gjdfgklsjsl (this is an open invitation though to teach me!!! i know i can swap the graphics card and ram bc i've already done those. also obviously like, the psu, case, cooling units can be swapped. anything else is beyond my knowledge.)
