i played SWTOR fairly extensively and it's anything but f2p friendly. genuinely the game does every bit it can to make you spit out cash if only to reach "preferred" status (or whatever it might be called nowadays) for quality of life stuff. FFXIV's does similar things but only like half as bad or something
