you say something incredibly dumb at a party one time and for the next 30 years you just periodically see

appear on your HUD and take 25% health damage

ice-nine but for concepts. someone invents a newer, shinier purple and once you see it you're completely incapable of seeing regular purple as anything but the new stuff

someone says the New Hello to you and you can't even remember the words to the Old Hello. you're sure you knew it once, but the memory is simply replaced with the New Hello. you greet someone and the New Hello comes out your mouth

this is what its like to realize youre queer

suddenly you literally cant think straight because youre recontextualizing everything about how you approach(ed) the world

and also its a great concept for an existential horror piece
