This is sorta a cross post from mastodon, but with all the layoffs weve had this year. There's not gonna be alot of loyal workers that will guard their company's precious secrets. The game industry has taught their employees that there's no reward for loyalty, so if dankgamer 69 comes to them asking for a scoop on the next big thing, it's more likely they'll get it. Especially if theyre offering cash for the info.
I think maybe 5 or ten years ago, folks had more loyalty and identified themselves by the company they worked for, but recent fuck ups have all but destroyed that sense of loyalty among most game workers.
I'm willing to guess GTA6 may be free on launch if Rockstar doesnt fix employee morale. Their likely solution is to make their offices a police state where leaks cant escape, but I'm a bit of an optimist
