What am I up to?
Currently I'm porting a game I made in Unity to the Godot Engine to familiarize myself with this engine better.
I'm also porting Distance mods to the BepInEx modloader in an effort to move mods to the Thunderstore.

I've been wondering how people discover things through Youtube now.

Lately, I've been solely reliant on what the algorithm recommends me and whatever is in my subscription feed. Sometimes related videos helps. This does lead to a few neat discoveries. I recently found out that WaveTracker dropped a few days ago. I also found a few animators through the algorithm!

That's nice and all, but that's solely reliant on the algorithm. Is there any way to search for or self-curate content on Youtube? The search engine has been egregious for years now, It refuses to focus on relevant search results and goes right back to its recommendation algorithm. How could you possibly find a channel below 1k subscribers without hoping that the algorithm graces you with that channel?

When I see a channel that's even marginally interesting with a low amount of subscribers I immediately sub cause I know I'm never gonna see that channel again otherwise. Isn't it terrible that this is what I need to do to find people? Am I missing something or is there a better way to discover youtube channels?
