Today being Easter, I am compelled to share this one track from my album in progress, Tempus Imperfectum, with you all.
This is the only cover on the album, and it is also the only Tempus track I'm sharing prematurely. This is what Easter sounds like in my heart despite seemingly nobody else around me ever seeing it that way, religious or not. The drums beat, the bells ring, the singers' voices are ecstatic, and all of them form a climactic, thumping mass of light, love, and joy that sounds after six weeks of fasting. There's a good bit of old in my version of this motet, but also a good bit of new, with sounds from the region of my birth thrown into the mix.
