I would love to know about more session musicians. Especially if you gave a website with a reel demonstrating your sound / what kind of music you play / recording quality.

I am currently mostly looking for folk instruments, strings, woodwinds, etc, but I also love niche stuff. (I say. As someone who dabbles in theremin, singing saw, banjo, and accordion, etc.)

man i wish i had access to acoustic marimba/vibraphone to drop a reel here...! i suppose i could get my mics out for my doumbek or drumset, but the latter is certainly not niche at all lol.

I sing, play drums (including bodhrán, medieval and renaissance ones), keys, Celtic harp, ukulele, a bunch of aux percussions. I'll share some examples later in replies when my head's clearer! 🙏🏽

ough I would love some mando sometime 👀

lmk if you want any suggestions/tips on setup/gear stuff! I just actually grabbed a pretty affordable interface second hand that I am loooving so far (Evo4 from Audient)

my dad got one for recording guitar stuff recently and when I looked it up and found this one used I was like "Hmmmm I'm intrigued"

turns out it sounds cleaner than my bigger Yamaha MG10XU (which, to be fair, is probably 8-10+ years old, no idea when it was bought since someone was throwing it out at a previous job I worked lol)

I'm no professional, but I've played trombone (and bass trombone) for a while! (uhhh like 15 years? so I think that makes me a Brass Goon™.) I mainly do big band stuff (my only recording credit aside from some personal music is with my uni's big band) (one day I'll upload said personal music)

I also have an autoharp and have recorded a bit on that! I've been playing it for like... a year? idk whether to call myself good but I really enjoy it and it's hard to sound bad on autoharp tbh

(I also really enjoy other instruments but am nowhere near confident enough on them to record anything...)

I feel ya, I wrote a big band style singer's tune once and I wanted to write for more instruments, but copped out because it was too dense lol (ended up with the well-known ensemble of keys, drums, bass, voice and... three trombones)
