wolf's rain sure gets zero mentions these days
Wolf's Rain is a masterpiece, created by the head writer of Cowboy Bebop (you know, the good one), beautifully realised by studio Bones and supplied with a banger of a soundtrack by Yoko Kanno.
You should definitely watch it if you haven't yet.
It was also one of the shows I translated in another life (for a market nobody on this site probably was part of) that sure was a big change from, you know, your usual Shouty Guy, Tiddy, Gundam or "Stuck In A Game World" fare1.
I remember it like it was yesterday...
What do you mean, that was two decades ago?
1: Actually I'm doing Bandai a disservice here, because I also got to do Planetes2 and Witch Hunter Robin for them in that era, and really only 2 shows you could classify as "Tiddy".
There was a fuckton of Gundam tho, obviously.
2: Another incredible masterpiece you owe it to yourself to watch one day
