not counting the original adorably-DIY ziploc baggie version there's a real crust/sludge/metal aesthetic to the box art for Akalabeth that is absolutely not reflected in the game itself or the Ultima series that followed. implied alternate timeline where richard garriott was less of a "doublet and breeches at the ren faire, lives in a castle" guy and more of a "dresses like lemmy kilmister and lives out of a custom van" guy.
