it's basically the time it takes for about 50% of the organization to be new people from any given point of time (through either growth or turnover), right?
two years does track with my own (very limited, basically just one tech company over seven years) experience as well
Probably related: At my last employer, I once asked the team's recruiter what the median length of time with the company was and he said 1–2 years.
yeah, even outside tech ime. or if there isn't turnover, they just don't think about it unless prompted, so it's not worked into organizational decisions
