seeing a site advertise that they set up a chatGPT system to "migrate" unity games on unreal. Listen, you can probably make a tool that does this decently but holy shit chatgpt is NOT it, yowza. Remember that looking convincing and BEING TOTALLY WRONG are both things that chatgpt is extremely good at. who knows what wild ass bugs will manifest using this thing

Yes, please.
Launder other people's stolen garbage code to turn my code into something that doesn't actually work right in sneaky ways, and make me pay for it...

Is something someone with at least one braincell would never say.

You think things are bad when Dumbfuck McGee goes "chatgpt is amazing and smart! it taught me to code [Language] and did my homework for me" and there's an obvious error they don't see, because they trust the lie they were sold?

Welcome to fucking gamedev where there's 5 billion moving pieces that interact in strange and arcane ways that even the people that built the systems from the ground up can't always predict and see. Good fucking luck finding all the garbage errors this bullshit will have introduced in code you didn't even write.

You're going to spend so much fucking time hunting for them that you might as well have done the whole thing yourself. At least that way, you'd have learned something.

desperately hate that the thing being touted as the AI Revolution That Will Fix Everything is a program literally created with the purpose of Sounding Confidently Right with no possible way to verify if anything it outputs is actually technically correct. Like it's specifically designed to be the worst thing to ask for advice or information.

It's! Literally just guessing!!! Guessing based on past work but still with no verification of whether they past work was right or understanding of why it was right if it was. I also hate that factual errors are called "hallucinations" because that implies it's a malfunction, when it's just the machine guessing wrong instead of guessing right.
