I researched it because I thought it was funny and: Sorry normal people, computer people got here first! “Sext” as “sex” + “texting” is from 2005, sext as an instruction mnemonic is in the DEC Alpha from 1992. (And maybe earlier but I didn’t find any quickly.)
it's also pretty likely that the first person writing that mnemonic was some horny dude making a sex pun
