How do 16,000 people find work? I don't know what a recovery from this even looks like - and all evidence is it's getting worse before it gets better.
Bad times.
Many companies indeed overhired during the pandemic boom of 2020-2022, but whose fault is that, exactly? It's not the people hired to do a job, that's for sure. And yet the people in the C-suite responsible for interpreting a slight bump as an opportunity for infinite growth will be fine because they are so "experienced" at steering large companies directly off a cliff.
