I absolutely adored MS IGLOO and the glimpses of the One Year War it gave us.

This... This is... I don't know.
Could just be terrible choices for scenes for a trailer.
The voice acting/direction really doesn't help either.

Edit:

written and co-executive produced by Gavin Hignight

Whomst the fuck?
Yes, I can see he wrote random episodes for random US animated shows

in reply to @Turfster's post:

I'm all for "actually the gundam is fucking terrifying" as a concept for a show, that's the best part of Hathaway for example, but this looks like someone got their hands on a game asset pipeline and went "what if we made a show" without realizing those two things are seeking to achieve wildly different results on wildly different budgets.

Also please strap this Gavin guy down Cockwork Orange style and make him watch the end of Gundam X where the writing room literally just inserts themselves into the show to tell the fandom they're literally missing the rest of the writing in the shows because they're busy prattling on about Newtypes - and leave him strapped on there until he reflexively responds to the word Newtype by saying "Newtype is not about being good at driving the robot". The Newtype waffling in this reads like this is made by someone the end of Gundam X was made for, but who like most people did not watch Gundam X.

+1 on the voice acting/direction
I'm keeping my fingers crossed; the overall approach of making the Gundam a horror monster is good (despite the obvious dangers of Zeon POV), this trailer has a bunch of interesting small details for Gundam nerds, and I wasn't expecting them to do Newtypes at all ...but I won't be shocked if it turns out poorly
