if it's real it suggests some really terrifying things about their development process that no one remaining at the company knows how to use their level or text editors

run an adblocker for both personal security and ideological reasons. something like uBlock origin is going to be more effective at keeping horrible shit off your computer than actual malware scanners will, because tricking you into installing that shit yourself is the primary attack vector for it these days. it's just social engineering, but automated to use ad networks so it's much more efficient
