Tick Tock Clock's "Stomp on the Thwomp" has been improved to 0xA. This means that all of Tick Tock Clock's stars are now achievable completely A-press free (there are still 3 un-saved presses to get into the level though). 14 A presses remain for 120 star.

It's amazing. TTC, the most vertical stage in the entire game, went from ~20 A presses to zero.

honestly i think that the best way to explain why people do abstract mathematics is maybe to explain it in terms of the A Button Challenge. will ABC ever be useful? no. will it even be useful to normal speedrunning? incredibly unlikely, but that's not why people do it. people do it, because it's a beautiful puzzle to try and solve. similarly, people want to solve the reimann hypothesis not because it necessarily has any practical uses in real life, but because it's one of the world most difficult puzzle ever, with a solution that has been (and still is) researched by hundreds if not thousands of people for literally over a hundred years. its a challenge for which the solutions are so unbelievably complicated and weird that the fact its even possible is a miracle in of itself. to quote my incredibly pretentious youtube comment: "it's a puzzle designed by god"
