I find this relatable.
I only intentionally mask in voice channels, otherwise I just don't. I find masking is socially impossible to do, and is a waste of my time and energy. So I'm just all out there, for better or worse. This has even affected work.
It does suck tho. Genuinely. Masking through your examples is something I'm familiar with.
