legally-recognized methods? probably not! but i like to think that at some point in the nebulous future they are more widely accepted by society as equals, so if you somehow got your hands on a way to turn into one1 it wouldn't be too big of an issue :3

Proteus protomorpho, also known simply as "protomorpho" or by its older nickname "chameleopsid" (after it's then-tentative taxonomic family name), is a small species of alien found on the planet Terranova. After the discovery of its unusual regenerative healing properties, it became the subject of study under the research initiative "Project Delta" - it's genome would eventually form the framework for creating Proteus amphimorpho.
i answered that last ask and realized "hey wait a second, i haven't drawn a protomorpho in a minute!"
