My problem with anchovies has always been about how salty they are. I wouldn't get them on a pizza again, but they are great when blended into something. Meatballs, caesar dressing. Hell, blend them into your pizza sauce. Basically, just treat anchovies like fish sauce or worcestershire.

If you're looking to buy anchovies, look for jars or cans with lower sodium and packed with olive oil instead of some other neutral oil.
