I was thinkin' like a luck stat that can be substituted for other stats, but has higher risk/rewards involved.
Oh damn. Now you got me thinking. In Gradient Descent (MOTHERSHIP 2e Adventure) you have a save that slowly increases called “Bends” that pulls you into the risk of like, being one of the Rogue AIs androids. It’s this save that increases (making it more likely to be failed when rolled) the more you encounter weird stuff. But if you took that drip feed number raising and out it into a luck score, you could have the luck roll be it’s own distinct move with a pick list tailored to the stakes you want, that increases or decreases based on a list of appropriate criteria like Blades in the Dark XP.
I'll have to look into that. I've been wanting to check out Mothership anyways
