I've been watching bits and pieces of the 1980 Astro Boy. The dub is a treat-- I want to say that they had only 5-10 cast members that they would use for everything. The delivery is really stilted and weird in that charming early anime dub way.

I really should watch the US dub. I didn’t even realize the Canadian English dub was different until earlier this year as it was based on the French dub and edit.
Oh that's interesting. I looked it up and yeah this dub that I've been watching is not the canadian one
