the main difference between the Anarchist and Marxist classes are that Anarchists get bonus damage versus all Hierarchy-type enemies (including States), while Marxists have better party buffs and unlock Dominate Hierarchy as a class ability at high levels

Only if they spec state socialist, if they spec academic they get the "post-Marxist" advanced class, and gain the same Disturbed Enlightenment buff as Malkavians, with the same effects of making them incomprehensible to outsiders. If they can survive that they get to pick between going into state socialism after all or multi-classing into gender studies.

Anarchists can't get high levels of any class, and have to keep adding new tendencies. You never know what you're gonna get, hopefully it's a mostly praxis focused kit, because it's even easier to spec deep into theory to the point of uselessness with no defined level path. Some even become the wrong kind of libertarian by mistake. It helps to be, or at least be surrounded by, queer furries, to keep you on a useful path relevant to helping people. The antifascist and mutual aid skill zones are generally good too.
