Star Trek Online has a ton of original ship designs in addition to the classics owing to the fact that Cryptic needs something to sell, but one of my old favorites is this one, the Manticore-class (previously known as the Chimera class). It's the "Veteran Ship" they give to people who maintain a subscription 1000 days (the game began as a subscription MMO but went F2P, keeping the subs around as a "gold-tier" option for people who wanted extra perks) or purchase a lifetime sub (that's me).

In the canon of the story the Chimera and Manticore are the ships designed by Nog, Rom's kid and the first Ferengi in Starfleet. He made captain and joined the ship design bureau, coming up with a real fun gimmicky fighting ship. It's one of the relatively few STO ships with animated moving parts, and it uses them to "unfold" a honkin' big "phaser lotus" array when things are getting heated.
