After fiddling with the Dragon's Dogma 2 character creator, I have a greater appreciation for how SF6 manages to make everything look much cartoonier without you necessarily noticing. DD2 feels way grimier by comparison.
This is my attempt at recreating my DD1 character who had a sort of vaguely samurai-ish vibe. My mental image of him due to the cutscenes in that game is way more of a doofus than 2’s aesthetic really allows for.

My main pawn in DD1 was a basic “hot lady knight” type (I was playing Magick Archer and wanted a frontliner) and I tried to recreate that but she turned out looking kind of like she’s had 100 cups of coffee. I might need to start the face over from scratch.

This one was me trying to recreate my SF6 World Tour character, whom my friends described as “Confused Seattle Dad”. Don’t think I can rock a pink tank top, Capcom varsity jacket, captain’s hat, and Beats by Dre with this guy, alas.

Since I’m more likely to go melee in 2, I tried making a pawn who gives off a “mage” vibe. I wasn’t really feeling it until I hit the tattoo/scar options and latched onto the idea of “was badly injured and can only function by puppeting her own body with magic”. I feel like 99% of this would always be covered by armor which kind of defeats the purpose though.
