You ever notice how some patterns those weird coincidences in life.

Like how Blizzard's owner (They haven't been independent for ~30 years now) at the time will tend to ram it into existing corporate entities with other subsidiary developers1. Those other developers then have a tendency to get shut down, collapse, get restructured beyond comprehension, or otherwise shifted into irrelevancy. all to a background noise of "I sure hope XYZ doesn't ruin Blizzard's culture!" from the notorious "gamers2".

Strange how this keeps happening. What horrible luck!


  1. One such incident was part of, at the time, the largest accounting fraud in American history. This resulted in the collapse of Sierra Online, who would obviously have withstood massive financial fraud if only it weren't for those old fashioned adventure games!

  2. The definition of 'gamer' here probably includes whoever you are wanting to exclude.
