I have been moderately unwell lately. Nothing horrible, but it has caused me to lose enough sleep at night to end up having feverish nap dreams during the day.
In one of the recent ones I was watching a soccer game of some sort. One team was dominating possession, but hadn't yet converted that into a goal. The commentators claimed it was because their playmakers were attempting the "infamous Nolly Ball" (short for "Knowledge Ball"), which was not coming off as they'd hoped.
As far as I can tell the "Nolly Ball" was some sort of high-difficulty killer pass, meant to set up an easy goal with one pass. The commentary was not critical of the team for their failed nolly ball attempts, even though it was hurting them on the scoreboard. Rather they considered it a sign of immense skill that a nolly ball was even attempted.
My dream self did not see any of these nolly balls attempted, only heard them discussed in the past tense.
