Working out the plot for a fic in a notes app on my phone be like:

Excavators had not yet evolved to the level of precision that these ones possessed, and were higher maintenance, but even so, an entire team of experts was required to look after them, and, seeing as they had a great deal of shovels and buckets and other things that help remove dirt from the ground, it was a difficult task maneuvering them through the woods."
