Finally had nice clear skies but this jackass rock is not only in the bright half of its phases but it's RIGHT next to the deep-sky targets I WANT to be imaging so I took the time to adjust settings on my astrophotography DSLR and try out my 300mm telephoto lens again. This time actually trying to capture the finer details as best I can, and while I could certainly do better, this turned out great I think. I especially like that I managed to capture a few instances of crater ridges and mountain peaks that are high enough to be illuminated in the dark zone 🌔
