This post makes me really curious about the games on the list that I haven't played, since I really like all the ones I have, but I just especially want to take a second to say that Tunic is maybe the game that's impressed me the most in the last 10 years. Loved exploring and discovering and figuring stuff out in this game. I wrote like 10 pages (A6, but still) of notes while playing. The combat difficulty maybe drags it down a bit, but other than that, I just had such a wonderful time the whole way.

I cherish any game that has me taking notes! Not since Fez have I made so many arcane scribbles. (the fighting almost made me quit, twice, and I’m glad I stuck with it)
Yeah! I was thinking while playing that it feels almost more like Fez than either Zelda or Dark Souls to me. Love a game that you play with a notebook as well as a controller.
Loved the Fez-like bits. Less in love with the souls-like bits. Still a very pretty and charming game!
