Speaking of vulnerability, I had the realization the other day that while I'm pretty active on Twitter/cohost and in at least some of the Discord servers I'm in, I'm almost always just kind of posting in parallel with others. I'll make jokes or observations about things, but not at any particular person, and not in a way that particularly invites anyone else to respond to me, and I never ask people questions, especially not about anything personal.
And I think what this really is is a way to keep everyone at arm's length and avoid opening up to people, which is something that was useful to me for a while, but I don't think really is anymore. Trying to do a little more talking to rather than just talking along with.
