It's been over a year since I've been actively writing now, but I am trying to claw my way back into it. With mixed results.
Still, it got me thinking about how the reason I write is because I want more mundanity in stories. I write fluff, not drama.
High stakes, big villains, catastrophic threats, grand destinies... those have their place, but they're not what I want to write about myself.
I just want my characters (or other's if we're talking fanfic) to have their own versions of regular lives, preferably while being cute, and doing cute things. Like girls who kiss girls, as an example.
I do like having a story, unless I'm just doing a one-shot, and world-building can be very fun, but I see so many stories who escalate to silly extents. I don't want to add another one on top of that, unless I have some interesting (if only to me) twist/spin on it.
...where was I going with this? I forgot. I want to get back to writing more again.
