Started wondering about something...
I do not like the whole "devil's advocate" thing, but are there any situations where it's actually warranted? Is there a legitimate case for it in any circumstances? Does it have any value? Or is it just always scummy behaviour, regardless of intent, or context?
Is this such a meta question that I'm acting as the devil's advocate for devil's advocateism?
