I Am A Delight

I wonder at times if there are like... other places in the world in the same or similar situation as Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
Where we all speak similar enough languages that we can hold conversations with each other (to an extent).
Norwegians and Swedes have it easiest in terms of speaking, as we generally both struggle listening to Danish pronunciation, not helped by how quickly they often speak.
But if they're willing to speak a little slow, and we really pay attention, we can usually get the gist of it.
Between Norwegians and Swedes a lot of the time we can just speak our normal languages to each other, and what we can't directly understand, we can infer from context.
Every so often I just think about how peculiar that is.
