I Am A Delight

I have this kinda cynical brainworm regarding Hololive.
Like, it's become common (as far as I've seen) to regard Yagoo as this great guy who does right by his talents, and that's gained Hololive a lot of positive buzz.
And it does seem to be the case that the Hololive talents are treated better than what certain other companies do to theirs.
I would hardly call them flawless, but they seem willing to accept, and learn from their mistakes.

But then I got this cynical idea creeping into my head that what if Yagoo isn't necessarily a good person, but he's recognised that acting like a good person is very good for his, and his company's image.
You know what I mean?
That maybe he's just being nice because he's seen that it's a working strategy?

Of course I have zero evidence, circumstantial or otherwise, to base this on. It's just my own ingrained cynicism (and I guess distrust of rich people). And it's not like it changes the result, or reality of things. I just wonder about the motives.
Sure, it's pointless speculation, but so are many other things I think about.

It's all tea leaf reading, to be sure.

I gave him a lot of credit during the lead-up to Coco's graduation when he did the video with her where she basically roasts him for half an hour. That felt, to me, like him saying "we screwed up this situation badly and I owe this to you" in a way that avoided him actually saying it, because shareholders and whatever.

I don't have much patience for the fans who fawn over every appearance he makes, but then I don't have much patience for a lot of the stuff Hololive fans do.
