Had this vague idea earlier about a setting where a deity or something or other will designate a person as a Hero. Like a blessing that makes them really strong, and a lot of people will grant them privileges and status because they have an important role, but if they fail to live up to expectations, they will lose that blessing. The entity will take it away, and give it to someone else.
I'm not really sure what I'd do with this idea, in part because I don't have a lot of motivation for anything today.
I just wonder how people would act with the idea that they get all this power and status, but also if the entity that gave it to you doesn't like what you're doing, you can immediately lose it, and possibly in a very bad position/location.
Also how would society adapt around a Hero system like that? Would they be more hesitant to give them any special treatment? Would some try to tempt/lure them into behaviour that will make them lose the title? Would some make it their mission to make sure the Hero stays on the right path?
