Because my sleep schedule is fucked, I decided to go fill petrol in the middle of the night. I figured there wouldn't be very many cars, and that I could probably count them. I was right.
I went out around 04:40, and got back home around 05:20 because I went for a short drive after I had filled. In that time period I saw 54 other moving vehicles. The majority of which came towards the end.
Before 05:00, the first 20 minutes, I saw 5 vehicles. Two lorries, and three cars. By 05:10 it had risen to 23. By 05:20 I was at 54. So it really escalated towards the end.
Those first 20 minutes though... it was so weird to drive along the main road with absolutely no traffic for most of it. Maybe I should have gone out even earlier.
