I just got home from my niece's weeding this weekend! It was wonderful! She now has the presitiguous achievement of Wife & Wife!
Aside from it being the first queer wedding I've gone too, it also hit me that it's the first non-church wedding I've gone to.
We were out on a small island called Håholmen. A local tourist destination, and... I think almost like an island resort? It's driven much like a hotel, but every room is in one of the cabins spread out across the island. There's a restaurant, a bar, etc.
And a hall where the remains of Saga Siglar (you should google that, it's quite interesting) are displayed, which is where they had the wedding ceremony.
It was very beautiful, and the two princesses were extremely beautiful. Got to learn a lot about how they met, when they went from friends to girlfriends, and so on. There were many speeches held by many people.
I had a fun time, but now I feel very wiped out, and am glad to be back home.
