creativity is great!!! but i feel like people worry waaay too much about being creative or not creative. some of the most successful/popular works aren't actually that "creative" (usually taking an existing formula with some small important tweaks), and some of the most "creative" works are... really not that great in practice!! i definitely love seeing new, original, and creative things come out, but as a creator i still feel like it's more important to worry about making something Good rather than creative, the latter of which tends to come up naturally over time, while the former is usually what has to be worked on consciously.
("creativity" could also possibly be swapped out with the word "originality," but originality is more related to an adjacent rant that i forgot if i posted here yet)
