tech advancements for the past decade or so have felt like 90% advertising "NEW WAYS TO OPEN DOORS!" "ACCESSIBLE DOOR OPENING TECHNOLOGY!" "REVOLUTIONARY, WILL CHANGE THE WORLD" and it's like a $500 retinal scanner for your front door that has an app with microtransactions somehow
i don't really know how business works but i still feel like companies would profit a lot more off Just Making Better Products That Aren't New and i'm wondering how many billions of dollars it'll take for companies to come to that conclusion
