yeah. my complaint doesn't quite fit with yours, but: i don't play vidya (i would love to but they don't work well with my brain), but a friend encouraged me to download Steam to play a co-op game. upon opening Steam, first off, the window borders and decorations did Not (!!) match with my DE (XFCE lol), and secondly, it Escaped Containment and opened some floating taskbar thing outside the main window, then full-screened the game without asking. it was such a strange disorienting experience. despite being legitimate software, it felt like my computer was infected with something. never again.
