social network where each post needs to be physically placed on an endless whiteboard and conversations just sprawl off into the distance, microcommunities physically separating themselves away from the greater whole
I am screaming at the performance implications of having to build basically mapping software that can generate all of the zoom levels you need to be able to come anywhere close to effectively navigating a website like this
... but I am also giggling at the idea of loading the map in a car game and driving up to your favorite posts with GPS assistance
you can add anything to the end of the url to get a seperate infinite world
i have a world on here (not handing out the link) that's probably a decade old by now. it's still there completely untouched.
also of course people were already on https://www.yourworldoftext.com/cohost and there was a tag for it
