finished kirby's dream land 3 for the first time today (technically wasn't a legit playthrough because randomizer, but i'll count it cuz it was essentially 95% the same as an actual run) and MAN what a strange game
i love it so much for so many reasons, the art/aesthetic is top tier, the music gave me new favorites from the kirby franchise, and the final boss is super iconic, but MAN those puzzles
i really like the puzzle mechanic because it's a neat twist on the (at least afaik, usual kirby formula) "here is gate for specific kirby powerup, now you must use this kirby powerup," but also sometimes the puzzle has no hints while the solution is just like. "use tentacle attack on this person because it cheers them up" ??????
anyway i think it's an underrated kirby game, one of those ones that feel clearly flawed but also still 9/10 for vibes alone
