closing out the night after a bunch of experiments, and they are suuuper cool
i used to use svgs a lot back when i did a lot of pure vector art, but didn't know about some of their technical capabilities (some reason i assumed animated vectors required a different file format lol)
still the biggest news to me is that svgs can have embedded javascript. and this is really cool to me, but also kinda scary?? it's cool to me that you could prob hypothetically have an entire video game built into a literal image file. but also i got a simple javascript svg and tested posting it to cohost, and even though it makes it nonfunctioning, downloading it still keeps the functionality. is this not a kind of serious security concern? wonder if that's why more websites don't use svg lol
