The funniest part is pro acryl is one of the only paint lines that wasn’t being super obviously put over by the company with dubious youtube sponsorships when I was watching a lot of paint vids. Their metallics line is way fucking better than most of the other metallics I’ve used. Kinda sad they seem to have embraced The Influencers.
That said the time I was binging miniatures painting YouTube was fascinating for it’s combination of bare faced corporate partnerships and the fact that a lot of the time they were just plain wrong about painting.
But like, it’s a niche of a niche of a niche so there’s not really anyone who will criticize these practices because they all rely on that company money to keep the lights on, which I don’t blame them. But it does mean the whole thing feels like a circle jerk sometimes. ^.^;
